Stanford Cornerback Aaron Morris Taken Off Field After Tackle

DALLAS (AP) — Stanford cornerback Aaron Morris was alert and responsive after being immobilized and taken off the field in an ambulance following a tackle during a game on Saturday.
The incident occurred at SMU‘s Ford Stadium with five minutes left in the first quarter. Morris and teammate Ziron Brown tackled Jordan Hudson after a 12-yard catch.
Morris’s facemask was removed as medical staff placed him onto a stretcher before loading him into the ambulance. Stanford spokesman Brian Brownfield provided an update, stating that Morris was “alert and responsive” and doing well.
A junior from Lowell, Massachusetts, Morris has played in four of Stanford’s six games this season. He previously made 17 appearances in his first two years with the team.
There has been no further information about Morris’s condition or any potential return to the game.
