Star Amerasu Music And Film Interview

LOS ANGELES, CA — Star Amerasu, a multi-talented musician, DJ, and filmmaker, recently discussed her innovative work and visions for the future in a candid interview with Elliot Page. Amerasu, known for her short film ‘After Hours’ and her satirical online character Pandemia, shared her thoughts on navigating the entertainment industry.

During the interview, held on Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, Amerasu expressed her belief that having a good vibe is essential for survival in the year 2099. ‘Bitches with bad vibes are not going to survive 2099,’ she stated, blending humor with a hint of the seriousness of her message.

When Page asked about concerns regarding surveillance in the future, Amerasu quipped that her character Pandemia would be there as an AI assistant, hinting at the complexities of technology and identity. ‘In 2099, they’re going to be talking to a version of me that I’m not in control of,’ she said.

Amerasu went on to list three essentials for the future: cultivating a strong sense of self, knowing the source of fresh water, and the necessity of positive energy. Page humorously suggested affordable machines to convert ocean water, to which Amerasu added, ‘And we’ll have machines that can convert sunlight into electricity.’

The conversation delved into personal topics, including their shared connection to nature. Amerasu shared her ritual of touching old trees in parks as a way to find peace amidst city life. ‘You got to get to the trees. Talk to them, touch them,’ she advised.

Amerasu, who has a memoir titled ‘Wish Upon a Star: The Star Amerasu Journey,’ also reflected on community struggles, emphasizing hope and support for others. She noted the importance of using personal struggles to uplift the trans community, referencing historical figures like Sylvia Rivera.

In a light-hearted moment, Amerasu crafted a humorous scenario of being cursed by a witch as a consequence of stepping on her shrine, showcasing her unique blend of humor and introspection.

As the interview wrapped, both Amerasu and Page shared reflections on gratitude in their lives despite challenges. Amerasu stressed the importance of clinging to hope and not allowing adverse experiences to define one’s character. ‘It’s about using my anger to motivate me to help other people,’ she concluded.
