Stellantis Profit-Sharing Drops Nearly 73% for UAW Members

Detroit, Michigan — United Auto Workers members at Stellantis are projected to receive profit-sharing checks of $3,780 this year, a significant decrease of nearly 73% from last year’s payments of $13,860. The announcement was made early Wednesday, shortly after Stellantis reported a $5.8 billion net profit for 2024, but also noted a net loss of $133 million in the second half of the year.
The reduction in profit-sharing reflects the company’s challenges during 2024, including declining sales and soaring inventories. Stellantis, which manufactures brands including Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge, and Fiat, revealed that around 38,800 workers are eligible for profit-sharing based on their compensated hours.
Profit-sharing amounts vary by individual, meaning some workers may receive higher or lower payments. These checks are set to be distributed on March 7. The payout is determined by the company’s performance in North America and aligns with the terms established in the 2023 UAW contract.
Stellantis continues to confront industry-wide pressures and market fluctuations, placing it behind its competitors in the Detroit Three for profit-sharing figures. The automaker’s leadership is also in transition, as it seeks a new CEO following Carlos Tavares‘s resignation late last year.
