Stephen A Smith Travis Kelce Taylor Swift Concert

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith revealed Wednesday night that he spent $20,000 on tickets to Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour, calling it “the greatest concert” he has ever attended. The revelation came during an interview with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on the Stephen A. Smith Show.

Smith, who initially attended the concert at the urging of his daughters, admitted he was not a fan of Swift’s music before the show. “My daughters hoodwinked me because they got me to take 10 of their friends,” Smith said. “Now that was two thousand a pop, I spent $20,000 on that [expletive] concert.” Kelce interjected, clarifying that the tickets were purchased on the resale market.

Despite the hefty price tag, Smith was so impressed by the performance that he attended a second show. “I said, ‘this better be worth it,’ and I’ve got to confess. It was so [expletive] good I went twice,” he said. Smith did not disclose how much he spent on the second set of tickets or the locations of the concerts.

Kelce, who is dating Swift, has been a frequent attendee at her concerts during the Eras Tour, which concluded last month. The NFL star has joined Swift on stage at Wembley Stadium in London and has supported her at shows in Argentina, Australia, Amsterdam, and Singapore.

Smith also shared that his initial skepticism about Swift’s music turned into enthusiasm after the concert. “I went to her concert,” Smith told Kelce. “Yo, Travis, it’s the greatest concert I’ve ever been to in my life.” By his second show, Smith admitted to singing along with the crowd.

Kelce confirmed earlier this week that Swift will be in attendance for his next game, a Divisional playoff against the Houston Texans, on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium. The couple’s high-profile relationship has drawn significant attention, blending the worlds of sports and entertainment.
