Over the recent summer months, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has emerged as the highest-grossing R-rated film in history, surpassing the expectations set for the franchise. The film, which brings together popular characters from the Marvel universe, received favorable reviews from both critics and audiences alike. However, some viewers expressed interest in more screen time for Peter, a character warmly received for Rob Delaney‘s comedic portrayal in “Deadpool 2.”

In response to fan demand, a deleted scene was revealed, showcasing Peter in a romance with Loki’s B-15, portrayed by Wunmi Mosaku. The Hollywood Reporter, a notable authority in the entertainment domain, refrained from detailing more of the scene’s contents but provided an exclusive clip for eager audiences.

The film was made available digitally on October 1, with a physical media release set for October 22. Additional content, including deleted scenes, featurettes, and commentary by filmmaker Shawn Levy and star Ryan Reynolds, offers fans a deeper dive into the creation process. Reynolds, known also for his role in writing and producing, partnered with Levy to bring this cinematic venture to life.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” has amassed $1.33 billion in global box office receipts since its release in late July, making it the highest-grossing film of the current year, trailing only “Inside Out 2.” This massive success reflects the persistent appeal of the characters and the film’s ability to draw audiences internationally.

Rob Delaney’s character, Peter, who first appeared as a non-superpowered member of the X-Force in “Deadpool 2,” had become a fan favorite. Nicknamed “Sugarbear” by Deadpool, Peter met his demise during the team’s first mission, a narrative arc humorously reversed in a post-credits scene when Deadpool, through the use of Cable‘s time-travel device, ensured Peter’s survival.
