Suns’ Injury Report Includes Green Ahead of Season Opener
Phoenix, AZ — The Phoenix Suns have released their initial injury report ahead of the season opener against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Star player Jalen Green is out with a right hamstring strain, while Grayson Allen is listed as probable due to left hip soreness.
Green’s absence is a significant blow for the Suns, as he was a key piece acquired in the trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. The Suns are hoping for a strong start to the 2025-26 NBA season under new head coach Jordan Ott.
Alongside Green, Allen’s injury history has been a concern, impacting his performance towards the end of the previous season. The Kings will also be missing several players: Domantas Sabonis (right hamstring), Keegan Murray (left thumb), and Isaac Jones (illness) are all out for the matchup.
Last season, the Suns finished with a record of 36-46, two spots behind the Kings, who finished at 40-42. With the 2025-26 season upon us, the Suns are looking to improve their standings and capitalize on the changes within the roster.
The absence of Green will put extra pressure on the remaining players to step up as the team transitions into a new era.
