Suns Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks Out for Spurs Matchup
Phoenix, AZ – Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks will not play in the Phoenix Suns’ game against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, as both are sidelined due to injuries. Green, dealing with a right hamstring strain, will miss his seventh consecutive game this season. Brooks has a core muscle strain that has kept him out for the last four games.
Green, who joined the Suns this season, had not missed a game in the past two seasons. Brooks, averaging 19.3 points and 3.3 rebounds this season, was initially sidelined with groin soreness. He later sustained the muscle strain during a loss to Utah on October 25.
Meanwhile, the Spurs will also be without several key players, including De'Aaron Fox and Luke Kornet, due to various injuries. The game is set to tip off at 6 p.m. from the Mortgage Matchup Center.
Suns coach Jordan Ott expressed optimism about Green’s recovery, noting that he participated in a full-court 5-on-5 practice session on November 1. “That’s a good sign,” Ott said. However, the coach was cautious about confirming a timeline for either player’s return.
Isaiah Livers was also ruled out for Sunday’s game due to a right hip contusion, but Ott clarified that this injury is not related to his previous hip surgery.
The Suns recently ended a four-game losing streak with a win over the Utah Jazz on October 31, and will aim to build on that momentum against the unbeaten Spurs.
