Content creator Suraj Chavan has emerged as the winner of the popular reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 5’. The grand finale of this season was held on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Chavan not only lifted the trophy but also took home prize money of Rs 14.6 lakh, beating other finalists including Abhijeet Sawant, who was the runner-up.

The finale was a spectacular event featuring appearances by the cast of the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Jigra‘, including actors Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, along with director Vasan Bala. Actor Riteish Deshmukh served as the host of the show’s latest season and shared a photograph with the winner on Instagram, celebrating Chavan’s victory with the caption: “Bigg Boss Marathi Winner @official_suraj_chavan1151 runner up @abhijeetsawant73.”

This season of ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ saw a series of unexpected turns and dramatic moments, which significantly boosted the show’s viewership ratings. Riteish Deshmukh mentioned, “This season of ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ was full of surprises and twists. Each week’s twists sent the TRPs soaring. The high-octane emotions, conflicts, and dynamics between the contestants kept the audience on the edge.”

In the finale, other notable contestants included Nikki Tamboli, Dhananjay Powar, and Janhavi Killekar. Before reaching the end, Killekar made the decision to leave the show, taking a prize of Rs 9 lakh. The show concluded with Suraj Chavan and Abhijeet Sawant turning off the lights of the Bigg Boss Marathi house, signifying the end of the season.

Beyond claiming the winner’s trophy, Chavan was awarded additional prizes, including a Rs 10 lakh jewellery voucher and a two-wheeler vehicle. His victory has capped off a season filled with entertainment and drama, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next installment.

Suraj Chavan is renowned for his work as a social media influencer and digital content creator, earning popularity for his engaging presence, particularly within Marathi audiences. He has also acted in films such as ‘Musandi’ (2023) and ‘Raja Rani‘ (2024), showcasing his versatility as a performer.
