Avra Bar at Four Seasons Astir Palace is set to host a unique event that brings together some of the world’s best bars to the Athens Riviera on Sunday, 26 May.

Known as Avra’s Great Sunday Club, the event will feature a bar takeover showcasing Alquímico from Cartagena and The Bar in Front of the Bar from Athens, in what is being dubbed as ‘a match made in sustainable mixology heaven’.

The theme of ‘The Secret of Sustainable Sips’ will see renowned bartenders craft innovative cocktails using ingredients sourced from Avra’s garden, with a focus on sustainability.

Notable spirits such as Mataroa Mediterranean Dry Gin (Mataroa MDG) and a new addition, a spirit with cannabis and damiana, will be featured in exclusive cocktails during the event.

Manon Kapfer, the bar manager at Avra, expressed the significance of connecting with like-minded individuals on the sustainability journey, making it a core value for the event.

The roster for the event includes key figures such as Jean Trinh, Miguel Mora, and Paola Oviedo from Alquímico, ranked number nine on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, along with representatives from The Bar in Front of the Bar, recognized on the World’s 50 Best Discovery list.

‘The Secret of Sustainable Sips’ is scheduled for 26 May at Avra Bar in Athens, Greece, running from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Prior to the main event, the participating bars, and sustainable drink brand partners will host a picnic and panel talk within Avra’s gardens on Saturday, 25 May at 2:00 PM, inviting members of the bar industry and curious guests to partake.
