Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried to Star in Paul Feig’s Thriller ‘The Housemaid’
Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, ‘The Housemaid,’ directed by Paul Feig. The thriller, produced by Lionsgate, will feature Sweeney as Millie, a struggling young woman who secures a job as a housemaid for the wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew. However, Millie soon discovers that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.
Paul Feig, known for his work on films like ‘Bridesmaids,’ ‘A Simple Favor,’ and ‘Ghostbusters,’ will direct the film from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine. Both Sweeney and Seyfried will also serve as executive producers alongside Feig and Laura Fischer. Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting the combination of a great filmmaker, cast, and script as a promising start.
This announcement comes as Sweeney continues to expand her acting portfolio, recently being involved in other projects such as a boxing biopic about Christy Martin, where she will star alongside Tony Cavalero.
