Sydney Sweeney Celebrates at Palm Tree Beach Club Opening in Vegas

Las Vegas, NV — Sydney Sweeney enjoyed a lively reunion with friends at the grand opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club on May 3.
The actress, who recently ended her engagement with Jonathan Davino, looked vibrant and happy as she attended the festivities at the MGM Grand. Sweeney, 27, was joined by musicians Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) and Patrick Schwarzenegger at the event. The celebration spanned three days and featured DJ Kygo, who helped launch the venue.
Sharing moments from the event on her Instagram Stories, Sweeney posted a cheerful group photo. She posed confidently between MGK, 35, who flashed a peace sign, and Schwarzenegger, 31, who smiled beside her. In another playful clip, Sweeney could be seen flipping her hair while mingling in the crowd during Kygo’s DJ set.
Later in the evening, photos surfaced on social media showing Sweeney engaged in conversation with MGK, adding to speculation about their friendship. Despite the rumors, sources claim the two remain just friends, having previously starred together in the films “Big Time Adolescence” and “Downfalls High.”
Sweeney and Schwarzenegger also share a connection through the HBO series “The White Lotus.” Shortly before the event, it was reported that Sweeney’s engagement to Davino, 41, was officially on hold after he and Sweeney had been together for seven years.
A source told PEOPLE that Sweeney “is exactly where she wants to be” and is focused on her career. “She’s excited about all her projects,” the insider added, noting her busy schedule this year.
As Sweeney continues to thrive in her professional life, she was also seen laughing and joking with Schwarzenegger during the event, even playfully pointing out a bit of food stuck in his teeth, which he quickly tried to remove.
The grand opening was a star-studded affair, attracting other celebrities such as Jessica Alba and J Balvin. With her busy calendar and newfound independence, Sweeney seems poised to take on exciting new ventures in her career.
