Tar Heels Gear Up for NC Central After Dominating Radford
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The University of North Carolina men’s basketball team prepares to host North Carolina Central University on Friday, November 14, after a decisive 89-74 victory over Radford on Tuesday night.
The Tar Heels improved to 3-0 this season, with all wins at the Dean E. Smith Center. They are eager to continue their success against the Eagles, who enter the game with a record of 1-3 following a recent win against Bluefield State.
In the win over Radford, Luka Bogavac led the Tar Heels with 19 points and tied for the team lead with five assists. Henri Veesaar contributed 18 points, while Caleb Wilson made a significant impact, notching his first collegiate double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
The game featured an extraordinary 80 free throw attempts, with UNC making 31 out of 49 attempts. Head coach Hubert Davis praised Bogavac for his ability to score in various ways and highlighted the need for continued improvement on defense.

Injuries have hit the team hard, as senior guard R.J. Trimble is sidelined with a broken forearm, making the upcoming game crucial for the remaining players to step up. The Tar Heels aim to maintain their dominance, with a remarkable 180-18 record against in-state, non-ACC teams.
