Tax Day Restaurant Discounts April 15 2025

RENO, Nev. — As Tax Day approaches on April 15, numerous restaurant chains across the country are gearing up to offer special promotions and delicious incentives to help Americans celebrate or ease the burden of filing their taxes.

Restaurants including Krispy Kreme, Burger King, and Shake Shack are inviting patrons to take advantage of limited-time offers on this traditionally stressful day, turning it into a memorable culinary experience. Here’s a look at what’s on the menu for Tax Day 2025.

Krispy Kreme will treat customers who purchase a dozen assorted or Original Glazed doughnuts with a second dozen for just the price of sales tax. This offer is available in-store and online, where customers can use the promo code “TAXBREAK” to redeem the deal. “We can’t make Tax Day disappear, but we can certainly make it more delicious,” said a spokesperson from Krispy Kreme.

For fans of Burger King, Royal Perks members can purchase a cheeseburger for just 1 cent when spending $1 or more at participating locations on April 15. The offer can be accessed via the “Offers” tab on the Burger King app or online at BK.com, although it won’t be available in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories.

7-Eleven is joining the festivities with a special offer for its 7Now Delivery app users. By using the code “WRITEOFF,” customers can receive $10.40 off any order of $20 or more. This promotion encourages customers to snack while they file their taxes.

Shake Shack patrons can enjoy a free single Black Truffle Burger, Black Truffle ‘Shroom, or Black Truffle Parmesan Fries with a minimum purchase of $10.40 by applying the code “TRUFFLETAX” at checkout. This offer will remain active through April 27, ensuring customers have ample time to savor these gourmet treats.

Casey’s Rewards members can expect a “pizza refund” on Tax Day, as those who purchase a large pizza will receive a free, one-topping pizza credited to their account. Customers have until May 6 to redeem the freebie.

Smoothie King’s Healthy Rewards Members can also get in on the action, enjoying $3 off any purchase of $15 or $4 off any purchase of at least $20, valid exclusively on April 15.

Hooters will offer select appetizers for $4.15 through the app, which includes choices like mozzarella sticks and buffalo shrimp. This offer applies to participating locations.

In the spirit of BOGO options, Potbelly is giving away a free Original sandwich with any purchase of an Original or Big sandwich made on April 15 using the promo code “BOGO.”

Olive Garden continues its popular “buy one, take one” promotion until May 4, allowing customers to order an entrée and take home an additional entrée for free, along with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks.

For those looking for additional offerings, California Pizza Kitchen is extending a $10 discount on orders of $40 or more for CPK Rewards members from April 14 to April 17.

“This is our way to help fans double up on their favorite sandwiches or try something new,” stated Potbelly Chief Marketing Officer David Daniels.

As Tax Day approaches, these culinary industries are not just offering food — they are providing a chance to ease some tax-time stress with delicious treats. Whether dining in or ordering online, customers have a variety of choices to delight their taste buds this April 15.
