Taylor Fritz Atp Tour Tournament

Beijing, China — Taylor Fritz has moved up to fifth place in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin as of October 1, 2025, after his recent performances at ATP 500 events in Beijing and Tokyo.

The American gained 330 points in Japan, where he reached the final, boosting his qualification chances for the prestigious year-end tournament. Last season, Fritz advanced to the title match at this event, making his performance crucial for this year.

Fritz, 27, is having a successful season, having won titles in Eastbourne and Stuttgart. His success at these tournaments has given him a total of 3,785 points, placing him one spot higher in the ATP rankings.

German player Alexander Zverev has also made strides, moving to third place with 4,230 points after winning matches in Beijing. Zverev has previously won the tournament in 2018 and 2021, with an impressive season record of 47-20.

Australian Alex de Minaur is now in seventh place with 3,345 points after reaching the semi-finals in Beijing. His performance has strengthened his chances for qualification, especially as other top players, including Carlos Alcaraz, have withdrawn from upcoming tournaments.

Although Norwegian Casper Ruud is currently 11th with 2,485 points, he is still in contention as he aims to close the gap for a spot in Turin.

The 2025 Shanghai Masters, set to start on October 1, has attracted considerable attention, especially as several top players are missing from the draw due to injuries. The final is scheduled for October 12.

As the tournament proceeds, many are looking to see who will capitalize on the absence of stars like Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
