Taylor Hale and Kyland Young Reveal Their Relationship Status Ahead of Amazing Race

Los Angeles, CA — Taylor Hale and Kyland Young, alums of “Big Brother,” are competing as partners in the upcoming season 38 of “The Amazing Race.” However, fans are curious about their relationship status following their time on the reality show.

In a recent video, Kyland, 34, clarified their relationship history. He stated, “Even though we’re not a couple right now, we did date.” He explained that their relationship has been kept private, with only brief mentions of it over the past two years.

Kyland noted, “Over the past couple of years, we’ve had multiple periods where we were dating, and even times where we were fully boyfriend and girlfriend.” He emphasized that prior to competing on “The Amazing Race,” they tried to work on their relationship during filming and after.

Despite their breakup, Kyland insisted there were no dramatic reasons for their split. “There wasn’t cheating or scandals. We had our struggles,” he said. “I let Taylor down and caused her pain, and I fully own that. But I’m not going to let others twist this into something it wasn’t.”

In interviews leading up to the season premiere, Taylor, 30, also confirmed their relationship has always been “on-and-off,” suggesting that their time on the show would explore their dynamic. “This journey will show us figuring things out,” she remarked.

Season 38 of “The Amazing Race” is set to premiere on CBS on Thursday, September 25, at 10 p.m. ET. The competition will feature familiar faces, including Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Joseph Abdin, also a former contestant on “Big Brother.” Taylor and Joseph briefly dated following their reality show experiences but ended their relationship in April 2023.

Despite their breakup and the competition’s pressures, Kyland expressed hope for the future. “We don’t know what the future holds for us,” he stated, inviting speculation from fans regarding a possible reconciliation.
