Taylor Swift’s Chiefs Suite Relocated Due to Security Concerns
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Travis Kelce’s suite at Arrowhead Stadium was relocated this season after Taylor Swift’s attendance at Kansas City Chiefs games sparked significant security challenges, according to a season-ticket holder. Swift first attended a Chiefs home game on Sept. 24, 2023, during a matchup against the Chicago Bears, drawing massive crowds and heightened security measures.
Pam Hatcher, a longtime season-ticket holder, told the Kansas City Star that the original suite location in Section 121 became a logistical nightmare. “We ended up with like eight Jackson County Sheriffs down there, and over 18 Arrowhead security (members), and they still couldn’t handle the [crowd influx],” Hatcher said. “It was a mess. We left when there was about 10 minutes left in the third quarter, because we were worried about being trampled.”
To address safety concerns, Kelce’s suite was moved two sections over to Section 119, a more controlled area accessible only via elevators and the club level. “She (Swift) moved directly to 119 in that same suite she’s been there ever since,” Hatcher said. “It’s much better. Everybody’s calmed down about it.”
Swift, one of the world’s most famous musicians, has been a regular at Chiefs games since she and Kelce began dating in September 2023. The 14-time Grammy winner has also supported Kelce by attending multiple games, while Kelce has reciprocated by attending her Eras Tour concerts, even joining her on stage at Wembley Stadium in London.
Swift is expected to attend the Chiefs’ AFC divisional round playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday as Kansas City begins its quest for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title. The couple’s high-profile relationship has drawn significant attention, both on and off the field, with fans and media closely following their appearances together.
Despite the initial challenges, the suite relocation has improved the game-day experience for fans in the surrounding sections. “It’s much better now,” Hatcher said. “The security situation has been handled, and everyone can enjoy the game without the chaos.”
