Ted Danson Leads the Cast in Netflix’s New Comedy Series ‘A Man on the Inside’

Netflix‘s latest comedy series, ‘A Man on the Inside,’ premiered on November 21, 2024, and features a star-studded cast led by Ted Danson. Danson plays the role of Charles, a retiree who turns into an amateur private investigator. The series is based on Maite Alberdi’s 2020 documentary ‘The Mole Agent,’ which was nominated for an Oscar.

Joining Ted Danson in the cast are several notable actors. Mary Elizabeth Ellis stars as Emily, while Stephanie Beatriz takes on the role of Didi. Other cast members include Lilah Richcreek Estrada as Julie, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Calbert, and Sally Struthers as Virginia. The ensemble also features Eugene Cordero as Joel, Margaret Avery as Florance, John Getz as Elliott, and Susan Ruttan as Gladys.

The series boasts a diverse and experienced cast, with additional roles played by Lori Tan Chinn as Susan, Clyde Kusatsu as Grant, Marc Evan Jackson as Evan, Jama Williamson as Beatrice, Wyatt Yang, Deuce Basco, Lincoln Lambert, and Kerry O’Malley.

‘A Man on the Inside’ was created by Michael Schur, known for his work on shows like ‘The Good Place’ and ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine.’ The idea to adapt ‘The Mole Agent’ into a television series was conceived by Morgan Sackett, who also suggested Ted Danson for the lead role. The series is produced by a team that includes David Miner, Maite Alberdi, Christopher Clements, Julie Goldman, and Marcela Santibañez, among others.
