Teddi Mellencamp John Mellencamp Family Mausoleum

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Teddi Mellencamp, a former star of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ revealed in a recent podcast episode that her father, musician John Mellencamp, is already planning where she will be laid to rest amid her ongoing health struggles.

During an episode of her podcast ‘Two Ts in a Pod,’ Teddi, 43, recounted how her father called her repeatedly to discuss plans for a family mausoleum. “Yesterday my dad called 11 times in a row. Finally, I answered, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little.’ He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum,'” she recalled.

Curious about the mausoleum’s capacity, Teddi asked her father if there would be enough space for her three children, Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, whom she shares with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave. “He’s like, ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five, and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried,'” she explained.

As the conversation turned serious, Teddi inquired if she needed to make final decisions regarding her burial. John advised her, “You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there.” Teddi appeared to agree with her father’s suggestion.

In a light-hearted moment, she jokingly mentioned her desire to have the phrase “hot girls never die” engraved on her tombstone, while also acknowledging the emotional weight of the discussion.

Teddi’s health became a topic of concern when she shared that doctors had discovered multiple tumors in her brain and lungs related to her ongoing battle with melanoma. “I have three more tumors in my brain and two tumors on my lungs. These are all a direct result of my melanoma,” she posted on social media on March 6.

The health update came after she announced the presence of tumors in February, following weeks of health issues that prompted medical attention. “I’m fighting for my life, but also for my family’s life and all the people I love,” Teddi told Us Weekly in a recent interview. She described cancer as “definitely the hardest thing” she has ever faced.

As she navigates this difficult journey, Teddi aims to keep her family’s legacy alive while also maintaining a sense of humor about the future.
