Telugu Film Director Surya Kiran Passes Away At 48 Due To Ill Health

Telugu film director Surya Kiran, known for his work in movies like ‘Satyam‘ and ‘Dhana 51‘, has tragically passed away at the age of 48 due to ill-health.

Surya, who started his career as a child actor, had a prolific filmography with over 200 movies, including ‘Mauna Geethangal’ and ‘Padukathavan’.

He made his directorial debut in 2003 with ‘Satyam’, starring actors Genelia D'Souza and Sumanth Akkineni in lead roles, which garnered him widespread acclaim.

Following the success of ‘Satyam’, Surya directed various other films such as ‘Dhana 51’, ‘Brahmastram’, ‘Raju Bhai’, and ‘Chapter 6‘ over the years.

Apart from his directorial ventures, Surya Kiran also participated in the Telugu reality show ‘Bigg Boss 4‘, where he left a mark despite being the first contestant to be eliminated.

The talented director was previously married to actor Kalyani (Kaveri) before their separation, and his younger sister, Sujatha Dhanush, is an actor active in the South Indian film industry.
