Treylon Burks Nfl Receiver News

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans formally released wide receiver Treylon Burks from injured reserve on Tuesday, ending a disappointing three-year stint with the team.

Burks, selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, had his time in Tennessee marred by injuries and inconsistent performance. His most recent setback was a fractured collarbone sustained during training camp practice in July.

Prior to the injury, Burks had been expected to be a substantial contributor for the 2025 season after spending his offseason recovering from a torn ACL. This latest injury pushed him back on the Titans’ IR list, where he could not return under his current contract.

In total, Burks played in just 27 games for the Titans, recording 53 receptions for 699 yards and a single touchdown reception. His best performance came as a rookie in 2022, where he caught 33 passes for 444 yards.

After Burks was released, he became available to any NFL team. Sources indicate he has been cleared for all football activities and is eager for a fresh start with a new organization.

The Titans’ decision to cut Burks marks the end of an era following significant management changes within the team. He was drafted amid the controversial trade of star receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite the challenges Burks faced in Nashville, his collegiate record at Arkansas showcased considerable potential, as he had 66 receptions for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns in his final college season. Moving forward, Burks hopes to regain his previous form and solidify his place in the NFL with another team.
