LOS ANGELES, CA — Tensions reportedly brew between Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, the stars of Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White,” as promotional activities continue amid a backdrop of political and social controversy.

Sources indicated on Friday that the 39-year-old Gadot and 23-year-old Zegler are struggling to connect off-camera. An insider claimed Gadot “has nothing in common” with Zegler, suggesting their differing political beliefs contribute to the distance. “They have very different political views,” the source stated, revealing that their age gap also plays a role in the frayed dynamic.

Zegler has openly shown support for Palestine on social media, frequently voicing her perspective on the ongoing conflict. After the trailer for “Snow White” gained 120 million views shortly after its release last August, she expressed her gratitude to fans while also taking a strong political stance, posting, “…and always remember, free Palestine.”

In contrast, Gadot, who was born in Israel and served in the Israeli army, has been a vocal supporter of her home country amid rising tensions. Following a violent flare-up in the region, she took to Instagram, urging her followers, “I stand with Israel you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!”

As the political climate escalated, a source told Page Six that Disney’s communication team had reached out to Zegler, asking her to “tone down her posts” regarding her political views. However, she reportedly has not complied with these requests.

The “West Side Story” actress has also made headlines for critiquing the original portrayal of Snow White, stating in 2022, “There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. So we didn’t do that this time. I was scared of the original version. I think I watched it once and never picked it up again.” Her comments have sparked criticism that the new film is overly politically correct or “woke.”

On Friday, another insider noted that Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen in the film, is “annoyed by the movie drama.” While she enjoyed filming and had no problem with Zegler while on set, they remain distant. “They did a job together and that’s it,” the source added.

Despite the growing tensions, a representative confirmed that the two actresses are expected to reunite this weekend for events related to the film’s promotion. However, Gadot’s absence from Zegler’s performance in Spain raised eyebrows, leading to speculation regarding their relationship. Sources clarified that Gadot was preoccupied with press commitments in New York and not intentionally avoiding Zegler.

The ongoing promotional approach for “Snow White” has strayed from traditional media attendance, as reports indicate that only photographers and a crew will be allowed on the red carpet during the premiere at El Capitan Theatre on Saturday. Disney appears to be managing the publicity surrounding the film carefully amid the unfolding narrative.

As fans await the release, interest in the interpersonal dynamics between Gadot and Zegler remains high. Both actresses have garnered widespread attention, and how they navigate these tensions could impact the film’s reception.
