Anticipation is building around the upcoming film “The Greatest of All Time” (GOAT), featuring renowned actor Thalapathy Vijay, as it approaches its theatrical release on September 5.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is produced by AGS Entertainment and showcases Vijay in a dual role, with mounting speculation regarding the connection between his characters.

GOAT has already garnered substantial attention, with reported advance bookings exceeding ₹19 crore, including over ₹12 crore from Tamil Nadu alone. This surge places the film among the prime contenders for a record-breaking opening.

The film is set to be released across 5,000 screens in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, as confirmed by creative producer Archana Kalpathi. The film industry is keenly observing whether GOAT will top Vijay’s previous blockbuster, Leo, which achieved ₹148.5 crore worldwide on its opening day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh commented that the excitement surrounding the film’s title is translating into strong ticket sales. He indicated that GOAT has the potential to establish new box office records both domestically and internationally.

This film holds additional significance as it may mark one of Vijay’s final projects before he potentially ventures into politics. Despite plot details being closely guarded, Kalpathi hinted that the narrative begins with a mission gone wrong, further piquing audience interest as the release date approaches.
