Thanksgiving 2 Moves Forward Despite Script Delays
Los Angeles, CA — The highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 horror hit, Thanksgiving 2, is still in production despite experiencing delays, according to its director in a recent interview on the Talk Is Jericho podcast.
During the interview, the director revealed that the script is undergoing final revisions. “With Thanksgiving 2, we are doing some polishes on the script,” he stated. “There was a kind of a second act issue that Jeff and I were having. We just kept going around in circles trying to get through it,” he explained.
The director mentioned that insights from another writing team provided valuable direction. “They love the franchise. They said, ‘We don’t want to change it. We love it. You guys have a brilliant sequel, but we think we can help with this issue.’ And we were like, ‘Ah, yeah.’ It’s cool to collaborate with people with outside views,” he added.
Looking ahead, the director said, “The plan is for the script to get done this year and then for us to prep in the spring. I want to shoot it in the spring, and that’ll be a studio movie.”
The first Thanksgiving film featured an ensemble cast that included well-known actors, but the director did not disclose names for the sequel. Anticipation builds as fans await more updates.
