Tiger Woods Vanessa Trump White House Visit

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tiger Woods made a surprise visit to the White House on May 8, 2025, marking his first public appearance since confirming his relationship with Vanessa Trump, President Donald Trump’s ex-daughter-in-law. Woods, 49, was photographed alongside Indiana Senator Jim Banks, who shared the moment on social media.

Woods and Trump began dating in late 2023, but the relationship remained private until Woods made it public in a social media post on March 23, 2025. “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together,” Woods wrote, adding he would appreciate privacy for their families.

Senator Banks captioned the photo of Woods, saying, “Met @TigerWoods at the White House today!” Woods’ visit comes as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles tendon, which sidelined him from competing in recent tournaments.

Woods’ and Trump’s children have a shared interest in golf. Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, is an up-and-coming golfer committed to play at the University of Miami, while Woods’ son, Charlie, has participated in U.S. Open qualifiers and has been seen playing alongside his father in tournaments.

President Trump expressed his support for their relationship in an earlier interview, saying, “I love Tiger and I love Vanessa… Just let them both be happy. They’re both great.” He discussed how he has a close friendship with Woods, playing golf together frequently.

Following Woods’ visit, speculation arose about his purpose in D.C., but no official comments confirming the nature of his meetings have been released. Woods had taken part in discussions earlier this year regarding the possibility of merging the LIV Golf Tour with the PGA Tour, further emphasizing his lasting connection to the golf community.

The golf legend recently expressed his hopes to return to the sport following his surgery, stating, “I plan to focus on my recovery and rehab.” He has not played a competitive round since missing the cut at The Open Championship in 2024, making this visit all the more significant as he navigates his next steps in both golf and his personal life.
