Tom Cruise Embraces Challenges Before New Film Release

SEOUL, South Korea — Hollywood star Tom Cruise expressed his excitement and fears during a press event on October 8, ahead of the release of his latest film, “Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning.” The film is the eighth in the franchise, which has showcased Cruise as both lead and producer for 28 years.
“I was scared whenever I acted, but I think it’s a privilege to feel pressured,” Cruise said, highlighting his passion for pushing personal limits. He further noted that he enjoys challenges, stating, “if you challenge the limits close to the limit, that dream would eventually become a reality.”
Known for his breathtaking stunts, Cruise mentioned some of the daring feats he has performed, including climbing the Burj Khalifa and hanging off an A400M transport plane. He reflected on his self-taught approach to filmmaking: “I didn’t even go to film school, so I studied many parts by myself. When I took a scene, I thought about how I could do better at what I learned next.”
In the new installment, Cruise takes on even more extreme challenges, including diving into the Arctic deep sea and walking on the wings of airplanes. “It started with a joke, ‘Do you want to go up on the wing?’ but it really went up,” he said, smiling as he recounted the preparation process, which he described as complex and demanding.
At 62 years old, Cruise remains focused on his future endeavors. When asked about his plans, he responded, “I’ve warmed up so far? I’m still in the warm-up stage, and I’m going to apply what I’ve learned after that. Life is a never-ending journey.” Throughout his career, he has often remarked that making movies is not just a job but his dream.
“Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning” is set to be released on October 17, offering fans another thrilling adventure with Cruise’s iconic character, Ethan Hunt.
