Tony Todd Returns in Final Destination: Bloodlines, Hits Theaters May 16

LOS ANGELES, CA – Tony Todd reprises his iconic role as William Bludworth in the latest installment of the Final Destination franchise, titled Final Destination: Bloodlines. The film will be released in theaters and IMAX on May 16. Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, this marks the first Final Destination movie in 14 years.
The story follows a college student named Stefanie who is haunted by a violent recurring nightmare. In a desperate attempt to save her family from a gruesome fate, she seeks out the lone person who may hold the answers to breaking the deadly cycle. The film explores Death’s twisted sense of justice, echoing themes familiar to old fans of the franchise.
The cast features a mix of rising stars, including Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger, alongside Todd. The screenplay is penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with franchise veterans Craig Perry and Sheila Taylor producing.
In an exclusive promo for the film, Todd shares chilling advice on how to cheat death, saying, “To break the cycle, there are only two ways: by killing — if you take a life, you’ll get the time that person had left — or you have to die. Good luck.” This insight sets the tone for the film’s suspense and horror.
In a recent interview, co-director Zach Lipovsky teased a twist in the film’s opening premonition that takes place in 1969, shifting perspectives to keep audiences guessing about the story’s direction. He stated, “As moviegoers, we love it when you have to lean forward in your seat because a movie is being unpredictable.” With an innovative approach to the storyline, Bloodlines aims to captivate both longtime fans and newcomers.
As excitement builds for the film’s release, audiences are left to wonder how Stefanie’s quest will unfold and whether she can escape Death’s design.
