Ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean marked the 40th anniversary of their historic Olympic gold medal win by revealing their plans to retire from the sport in 2025. The iconic duo from Nottingham, famed for their mesmerizing Bolero routine at the 1984 Winter Games in Sarajevo, announced that their upcoming tour in 2025 will be their final farewell to the ice.

Torvill and Dean, who captured hearts with their flawless performance at the Zetra Olympic Hall, where they received perfect scores, will be bidding adieu to a remarkable career that spanned decades, inspiring generations of ice skaters around the world.

Following their exceptional Olympic success, Torvill and Dean turned professional and went on to clinch a bronze at the 1994 Winter Olympics before transitioning to coaching and choreography. Their influence extended to television, with the duo becoming synonymous with ITV‘s hit show Dancing On Ice.

The forthcoming tour, titled ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance,’ is set to take place from April 12 to May 11, 2025, offering fans a final opportunity to witness the magic of the skating legends live on stage. Tickets for the tour go on sale today, promising a nostalgic yet celebratory farewell from the iconic pair.
