Total Wireless Launches LifeLine Program Offering $0 Plans in California

IRVINE, California – Total Wireless announced the launch of its LifeLine discount program, aiming to provide affordable wireless service to California residents. The program, part of the federal California LifeLine initiative, offers eligible customers a plan that includes unlimited talk, unlimited text, and 6GB of high-speed data every 30 days for as little as $0 per month. Additionally, customers will receive a free smartphone upon enrollment.
David Kim, Chief Revenue Officer at Verizon Value, stated, “Access to reliable wireless service shouldn’t be out of reach for anyone. That’s why we’re bringing California LifeLine to Total Wireless stores across the state, making it simple for eligible residents to sign up and get connected—with no barriers, no credit checks, and no compromises on quality.”
Enrollment for the LifeLine program is easy; California residents can apply in-store using scannable QR codes at Total Wireless locations or online. Individuals enrolled in government assistance programs such as CalFresh or Medi-Cal automatically qualify for LifeLine benefits. The program allows one benefit per household, and LifeLine assistance cannot be transferred.
Total Wireless is committed to enhancing its services for California’s diverse communities. By providing affordable and reliable service, the company aims to meet the wireless needs of all customers, ensuring everyone has access to the tools they need to stay connected.
Beyond California, Total Wireless plans to expand its LifeLine program throughout the U.S., seeking to assist more individuals in accessing discounted wireless services. The company operates approximately 1,900 exclusive stores nationwide, including over 200 in California, where customers can get assistance with enrollment and address any queries.
