Trisha Yearwood Honored at CMT Music Awards for Humanitarian Work and New Song Debut
Country music icon Trisha Yearwood was recognized at the CMT Music Awards for her exceptional humanitarian work and the debut of her new song.
Yearwood, known for her philanthropy with Habitat for Humanity, Carter Work Project, and National Women Build Week, received the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award at the ceremony held at the Moody Center.
Reflecting on her connection with the late June Carter Cash, Yearwood expressed gratitude for being associated with the iconic musician and humanitarian.
The prestigious award acknowledges Yearwood’s longstanding dedication to giving back to the community, including her work with Habitat for Humanity and her impact on initiatives like the Carter Work Project.
Yearwood, accompanied by her husband Garth Brooks, was previously honored as a Habitat Humanitarian in 2016 for their joint contributions to the organization.
In addition to the award, Yearwood graced the CMT stage after a five-year hiatus to debut her latest single, “Put It In a Song,” marking a significant moment in her music career.
The CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, featured a lineup of performances from artists like Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Keith Urban, and Sam Hunt, making it a memorable evening for the country music community.
