Donald Trump Abc Interview

New York, NY – ABC News is set to air an exclusive interview with President Donald Trump on Tuesday, marking the end of his first 100 days in office. However, the network’s leading journalists, David Muir and George Stephanopoulos, will not conduct the interview due to their tumultuous history with the president.

Insiders indicate that the White House’s agreement to the interview makes it evident Muir and Stephanopoulos were not considered suitable for the session. Trump has publicly criticized Muir since a contentious debate he participated in last September, moderated by Muir and Linsey Davis. Trump felt Muir was biased, describing the debate as “one against three” and labeling the anchor as “not legit” and “fake news.”

In comments made before his January inauguration, Trump reiterated his disdain for Muir, accusing him of misrepresenting crime statistics during fact-checks. This long-standing tension led to the decision for Trump to be interviewed by ABC’s senior national correspondent Terry Moran instead.

A TV insider commented, “It’s nuts that it’s not Muir. And giving it to someone that people have barely heard of? A primetime exclusive with the president?”

Trump has clashed with Stephanopoulos as well, particularly regarding the commentary he made about the legal troubles involving writer E. Jean Carroll. This conflict further solidified the decision to exclude these prominent journalists from Trump’s interview.

As the interview date approaches, attention turns to the potential impact on ABC’s ratings and Trump’s image during a significant moment in his presidency.
