Tulsa Opens Pop-Up Shelters to Protect Homeless from Arctic Blast
Two pop-up shelters have opened in Tulsa to provide warmth and support for the city’s homeless population as freezing temperatures grip the region. The shelters, located at the Tulsa Dream Center West Campus and the Rose Bowl, will operate through Thursday, offering beds, meals, and essential supplies to adults in need.
The initiative is a collaborative effort involving multiple organizations, including Housing Solutions Tulsa, the Tulsa Day Center, Salvation Army, John 3:16 Mission, and Family and Children Services. Josh Sanders of the Tulsa Day Center emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating,
