Miss Universe Latina El Reality Contestants

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Two women from South Texas have advanced in the “Miss Universe Latina, el reality” competition. The show made its broadcast debut on June 3 and prominently featured KGNS Hola host Marcela DelGado and former Miss Laredo Teen USA Elba Mendoza.

Both participants hail from Laredo and represent their native country of Mexico. The competition features 30 women from various Latin American countries. After the first week, 24 of these participants successfully advanced to the next stage.

The contestants live in a “Big Brother” style mansion, where they interact and train to become the next Miss Universe. Viewers can vote to save or eliminate participants during designated voting periods.

Voting will be open from June 6 through July 27, 2025. Each voting window allows viewers to cast up to ten votes per day via Telemundo.com/VOTA. The program airs Monday through Friday and Sundays at 6 p.m. on Telemundo.

Alongside DelGado and Mendoza, the show has enlisted former titleholders Alicia Machado and Zuleyka Rivera as mentors. They will help select candidates to represent the Latina community in the Miss Universe pageant.

The grand finale will determine who becomes “Miss Universe Latina” and advances to compete in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.
