Tyla Deluxe Album Release

South African singer-songwriter Tyla has announced the release of a deluxe version of her self-titled debut album. The upgraded album, titled “TYLA (Deluxe),” will make its debut on streaming platforms on Friday, October 11, and features three new songs: “Shake Ah” featuring Tony Duardo, Optimist, and Maestro; “Push 2 Start”; and “Back To You.”

In addition to the new tracks, Tyla unveiled the album’s updated artwork. The front cover shows her appearing soaking wet in a brown corset, with a garden hose draped around her waist. On the back cover, there is a shot of her high-heeled shoes standing in a puddle. This imagery is a nod to her breakout track from 2023.

The release of the deluxe version was met with excitement from fans on social media. “Turned 15 minutes [of fame] into a year, and you’re still going, and you keep eating every time!” one Instagram user commented. Another fan highlighted a previously unreleased track, “Disco,” which has yet to make its way to the album.

Originally launching in March, Tyla’s album featured collaborations with high-profile artists such as Travis Scott, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G. The album’s successful tracks, including “Jump” and “ART,” helped it debut at number 24 on the Billboard 200, selling 24,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

Despite the album’s success, Tyla faced challenges after its release. Due to a worsening injury that impacted her health, the artist announced she would not tour the project as initially planned, stating that performing live would endanger her long-term health and safety.

However, Tyla’s condition appears to have improved, and she is set to headline the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 15. She will join other esteemed performers such as Cher in a celebration that aims to showcase a diverse range of beauty. Speaking to the media about the event, Tyla said, “I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special.”
