Uma Thurman Peter Dinklage The Bronx Filming

THE BRONX, N.Y. — Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage were spotted filming scenes for the highly anticipated series “Dexter: Resurrection” in The Bronx on March 29, 2025. The two actors joined the cast of the iconic show, reviving its story after the titular character was previously thought dead.

Thurman, 54, showcased an edgy style wearing a pocketed raincoat over an all-black outfit, complete with dark sunglasses. She also sported a chic blonde bob and black gloves, adding a modern flair to her character Charley, who is portrayed as Leon Prater’s (Dinklage) head of security and a former special ops officer.

Dinklage, 55, arrived in a gray dove shirt and cream trousers, carrying a black backpack as he prepared for a demanding filming session. The two actors were seen working together, with Dinklage shooting a serious scene inside a car. Meanwhile, Thurman was busy on the phone while managing a large black duffle bag.

Later in the day, Thurman changed her attire, opting for a black puffed maxi coat to combat the cold. The filming of “Dexter: Resurrection” marks a significant return to the franchise, which originally premiered in 2006 and developed a dedicated fanbase over eight successful seasons.

Alongside Thurman and Dinklage, “Dexter: Resurrection” features Neil Patrick Harris in a new role as a character named Lowell. Other cast members include Krysten Ritter, Jack Alcott, and James Remar. The return of Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan has generated particular excitement among fans, reinforcing the legacy of the series.

During a recent panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount Global‘s Co-CEO and President Chris McCarthy expressed enthusiasm about Hall’s return, stating, “We are thrilled to have the brilliant Michael C. Hall reprise his iconic role as Dexter Morgan in Showtime’s most successful series ever.” McCarthy also highlighted the dual appeal of the franchise, saying that while “Dexter: Resurrection” would attract long-time fans, “Dexter: Original Sin” aims to introduce the series to a new generation of viewers.

In 2024, a prequel series titled “Dexter: Original Sin” saw Patrick Gibson portraying a younger version of Dexter. The show’s compelling narrative continues to captivate audiences, with the series achieving record-breaking streaming numbers for Showtime.

As filming continues, both Thurman and Dinklage appeared in great spirits, engaged in their roles for the much-anticipated continuation of the series.
