DENVER, Colo. — Summer in Colorado is vibrant with unique festivals celebrating everything from art to food. Spanning from June to August, these events showcase the state’s culture and creativity.

The Denver Chalk Art Festival will transform streets into a colorful gallery on June 7-8. Over 200 artists will participate in this free event, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

On June 12-15, the FIBArk Whitewater Festival in Salida will celebrate its 74th year. Known as the nation’s oldest whitewater festival, it features rafting competitions along with a mountain bike race and parade.

Craig is set to host a chainsaw art festival from June 19-21, turning logs into striking sculptures while offering food and beer to attendees.

The historic Strawberry Days festival in Glenwood Springs on June 20-22 celebrates the summer harvest with free strawberries and ice cream.

Camp Bacon on June 21-22 invites food lovers to indulge in bacon-themed treats accompanied by bourbon; it promises a merry experience filled with culinary activities.

As summer goes on, Grand Junction will host a country music festival featuring performers like Luke Bryan on June 26-28. The festival will include camping options for attendees.

In Cripple Creek, the Donkey Derby Days from June 27-29 will pay tribute to the town’s donkeys, with races and various activities for visitors to enjoy.

Each weekend into July, the state will host diverse celebrations including a yoga festival in Telluride and a wildflower festival in Crested Butte.

These events not only facilitate enjoyment but also showcase local talents, providing a platform for communities to come together. Colorado’s summer festivals reflect the state’s varied heritage, turning every corner into a stage for creativity.
