Universal Orlando Night Water Park Event

ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando Resort debuted its eagerly anticipated Volcano Bay Nights event on April 12, 2025, offering visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy the tropical-themed water park after dark. Running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the event allows guests to experience 10 attractions along with complimentary “island treats.”

Guests can enter as early as 4 p.m. with a Volcano Bay Nights ticket, which retails for $99, while annual passholders receive a 10% discount. Opening night featured a bevy of activities, with attractions running smoothly and significantly shorter wait times as day guests departed.

“The atmosphere transformed as the sun set. The DJ played lively music, creating a celebratory vibe throughout the park,” said event attendee Jake Thompson. Many guests shared their excitement about experiencing Volcano Bay in a new light.

Among the attractions available during the event were fan favorites such as the Krakatau Aqua Coaster and the Lazy River. Additionally, guests sampled exclusive food offerings, including Spicy Island Shrimp and cheesy Cliffside Seashell Pasta, both of which received positive reviews.

“The shrimp was surprisingly flavorful and the mac & cheese wasn’t just your typical cheesy dish; it had a nice kick to it too,” noted local food blogger Linda Chen. Reports like hers helped amplify the event’s appeal.

Event-goers were also delighted by the presence of DreamWorks characters, including Shrek and Fiona, who mingled with attendees, enhancing the festive atmosphere. The unique opportunity to meet characters not typically seen at Volcano Bay added an extra layer of excitement.

“The character interactions were fantastic, and the enthusiasm of the Team Members created a memorable experience for everyone,” remarked Thompson.

The park was significantly quieter during the event’s first two hours, enabling guests to fully take advantage of attractions with minimal wait times before the official event kicked off. Volunteers stationed throughout the park assisted guests, ensuring a seamless experience.

As guests took photos of Krakatau volcano dramatically illuminated against the night sky, it became clear that Volcano Bay Nights was not just about rides but also about creating unforgettable memories. For those considering attending, the event has multiple remaining dates in April and May, with tickets selling quickly.

“With the vibrant atmosphere and rare experiences offered during Volcano Bay Nights, we recommend trying to get tickets while you can,” said Chen.
