Vanna White Wheel Of Fortune Co Host

LOS ANGELES, CA – Vanna White, the beloved co-host of the classic game show ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ has surprised fans by revealing she only films for 34 days each year. During a recent appearance on ‘Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,’ White shared insights about her work schedule and the nature of filming episodes.

“We film about 34 days a year,” White stated. “That’s it. But we film six shows a day.” The 68-year-old co-host’s admission left hosts Elvis Duran and Danielle Monaro surprised and jokingly expressing their lack of sympathy for her workload.

Amid laughter, Duran remarked, “That sounds like a great job,” while Monaro added that the filming schedule necessitates six different wardrobe changes each day. White acknowledged this fact, saying, “It is a lot of changes.” When she was informed that her filming days equate to 331 days off annually, White responded, “Yeah, I guess so. I’ve never looked at it like that.”

Beyond the unexpected revelation of her schedule, White discussed the show’s production advancements, including the recently updated technology used for revealing letter tiles on the iconic puzzle board. “First, I physically turned the letters,” White explained. “Then, I went to touching the letters. Now, a couple of years ago, they changed the set where honestly, I don’t even have to touch the letter. There’s a laser that recognizes the motion of my hand near it, and it lights up.”

White emphasized the show’s importance in providing a positive escape for families. “This is a half-hour of family fun and escape from so much. It’s such a positive family show. I love being part of that,” she told the show’s hosts. Her passion for ‘Wheel of Fortune’ shines through after an impressive 42 years on the show alongside her former co-host Pat Sajak, who retired last year.

In 2023, White negotiated a significant salary increase, raising her annual compensation from $3 million to $10 million, solidifying her status as a key figure in the longstanding program.

This year, White made headlines again when she unveiled her first tattoo during an episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ Displaying a small pink heart inked on her wrist, she shared that it was inspired by her daughter, sparking surprise and admiration from fans.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ continues to attract millions of viewers, showcasing its resilience in the ratings game. Despite a slight decline in viewership compared to its rival ‘Jeopardy!’, the show maintained a strong average of 7.9 million viewers through late 2024.
