This weekend, one of Canada‘s largest electronic music festivals is taking place at Downsview Park, bringing together thousands of fans for an unforgettable experience. From August 2 to 4, attendees will enjoy performances from EDM favorites like Kaskade, Marshmello, Steve Aioki, and Alesso.

The festival kicks off each day at 2 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m., featuring over 60 artists across three massive outdoor stages. On Friday, attendees can look forward to headliners Gryffin and Fisher, as well as a special DJ set from Scarborough’s own Shamier Anderson, known for his role in John Wick 4, who will perform from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Saturday will be just as exciting with acts like Sam Feldt and Frank Walker gracing the main stage. The night promises non-stop entertainment from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with big names like Steve Aioki, Kaskade, and Marshmello taking the spotlight.

As the festival wraps up on Sunday, concert-goers can look forward to performances by Alesso, Alok, and Kream at the main stage, with Green Velvet and Boys Noize spinning on the Sirkus stage.

This year, VELD has launched a handy app designed to enhance the festival experience. The app helps attendees organize their schedule for which artists they want to see and includes a map to help navigate through the grounds. It also provides real-time updates and announcements throughout the festival.

In addition to the app, attendees can download a special phone wallpaper that lists the artists and their set times. To ensure a smooth-running festival, there are a few rules: once you enter, you can’t leave the festival grounds, only small bags (no larger than 12 x 12 inches) are allowed, and professional cameras are a no-go.

This year, the festival has gone completely cashless, so make sure to bring a credit or debit card for purchasing food, drinks, and merchandise while you’re there.

If you’re planning to commute, keep in mind that the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will close line 1 early at 11:59 p.m. on Friday night for some pre-planned track work.

<pTo add to the excitement, the festival is also hosting a series of after parties across the city at venues like Rebel, Department, and Vertigo on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
