Violent Clash Erupts In Bihar Village After Election Celebration Turns Chaotic

A violent clash broke out in the Chapra village under the Obra Thana area of the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar. The incident occurred on Tuesday night following the victory celebration of Rajaram, the Bhartiya Kisan Party (Bhakpa) candidate.

The chaos erupted when members of the opposing group objected to the bursting of fireworks during the celebratory event. The situation quickly escalated as both sides engaged in a physical altercation, resulting in injuries to 15 individuals, including seven women, all residents of Chapra village.

Authorities have swiftly taken action, arresting three individuals from both factions in connection with the primary investigation. Among those detained, Prakash Kumar, a key member from the opposing group, and Sanjay Prasad Bara, the principal of Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya, are held responsible.

Rajaram, the victorious contestant from Bhakpa-Male in the Karakat Lok Sabha, hails from Obra. Previously serving as a legislator, he has now secured a new victory, leading to celebratory fireworks and subsequent clashes in Chapra village, as reported by Thana Adhikari Ajay Kumar.

The violent altercation left several people wounded, with Shrikant Ram sustaining a severe head injury. He has been referred to the Magadh Medical College in Gaya for further medical care. Another injured individual, Pankaj, is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital as well.

Police continue their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the altercation through raids and searches in the village. Tension lingers in Chapra as authorities monitor the situation closely to prevent any further escalation of violence.
