The Voice Season 27 Knockouts Performances

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The competition intensified on March 31 as Season 27 of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ entered the Knockout Rounds, where Coaches faced the tough decision of eliminating talented Artists without the benefit of saves.

After the first round of Knockouts, only Team Legend’s BD.ii advanced, while several fan favorites departed the stage for good. The stakes were high, and emotional performances left audiences buzzing with surprises.

Dan Kiernan faced off against Tinika Wyatt in a highly anticipated match. Both Artists had evolved from atypical beginnings in the competition. Kiernan initially secured chair turns during his Blind Audition, only for Coach reality to intervene. Meanwhile, Wyatt, despite receiving no chair turns initially, impressed with an original song, earning her a ‘Replay’ from Coach Kelsea Ballerini. Ultimately, Wyatt emerged victorious, although Kiernan left with a personal connection, having received Ballerini’s phone number.

Team Adam experienced a disappointing night, as Coaches Adam Levine lost both Grace-Miller Moody and Trevon Dawson, the latter being his sole country Artist. At just 17 years old, Dawson’s performance showcased his budding talent, promising a bright future ahead.

In a head-to-head match, Simone Marijic performed against Barry Jean Fontenot. After a heartfelt rendition, Fontenot was chosen to continue his journey, while Marijic was sent home with a promise from Coach Michael Bublé to support her career.

Bublé, who has previously experienced the highs of winning in his first season, acknowledged the emotional challenges of eliminating participants. ‘Everyone who makes it onto ‘The Voice’ is a winner,’ he said, reflecting on how the experience can change lives. ‘Their lives had changed… they started to create a business that could go on,’ he added, emphasizing the deep impact of the show.

In a dazzling collaboration, viewers enjoyed a limited-time milkshake named the ‘Rocky Roll’ at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium in Universal CityWalk, as a partnership with ‘The Voice’. This dessert features chocolate soft serve, chocolate sauce, almonds, whipped topping, marshmallow, and musical note sprinkles.

As the Knockouts unfold, the format shifts significantly from previous rounds. In this phase, Artists select their own songs and perform without the option for Coaches to save them. The forthcoming Battle Rounds saw several contestants already facing eliminations, and other Teams poised to make their own decisions about who stays and who goes.

The emotional impact of the night’s decisions resonated deeply with fans and viewers alike, many of whom took to social media to express surprise and frustration at the elimination decisions made by Coaches.

Overall, the Knockouts on ‘The Voice’ provided a thrilling display of talent, heartbreak, and unexpected twists, making it clear that the competition is heating up as we approach the Playoffs.

Fans can catch ‘The Voice’ every Monday at 8/7c on NBC and the following day on Peacock.
