Walker and Boston Reunite in Hallmark’s ‘Adventures in Love & Birding’

LOS ANGELES, CA — Hallmark Channel stars, Walker and Boston, are back together in ‘Adventures in Love & Birding,’ premiering Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. This marks 17 years since they first worked together on the popular NBC drama, ‘ER.’

The actors originally appeared in an episode of ‘ER’ in January 2008, which dealt with a sensitive subject regarding military trauma. Walker, now 46, reflected on the emotional intensity of that episode, saying, ‘It’s an episode that talks about rape in the military. We had to go to a lot of different places emotionally.’

Walker credits producer John Wells for pairing him with Boston during the chemistry read that led to their casting. ‘He was the one that said, “Hey, you two, do a chemistry read together because I feel like there’s chemistry here,”’ Walker shared.

Fast forward to 2025, Walker and Boston are delighted to explore a lighter storyline in ‘Adventures in Love & Birding.’ ‘We’re literally out in the woods, in nature, and it was just fantastic knowing [Walker] so well that we could just lean in from day one,’ said Boston, 43.

The film, inspired by Sarah T. Dubbs’ novel, follows Boston’s character, Celeste, a single mom, who mistakenly believes she is supposed to act as Walker’s character John’s girlfriend during a birding competition.

<p“It’s a beautiful love story and a very interesting one where we have this safety net of being able to explore with the understanding that we’re in a new relationship, when we’re really not,” Walker commented.

The movie also highlights personal growth as both characters navigate misunderstandings and unexpected romance while participating in their shared interest in birding.

‘I have just found such joy and excitement and hope for women in stories like this,’ Boston remarked, emphasizing the themes of resilience and second chances.

‘Adventures in Love & Birding’ will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream the following day on Hallmark+.
