Walmart Launches 2024 Holiday Deals Early, Offers Significant Discounts
In an ambitious move to kick-start the holiday shopping season, Walmart has launched its 2024 Holiday Deals event earlier than ever. Beginning on October 8, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET, Walmart Plus members were granted exclusive early access to a barrage of discounts on popular electronics, fashion items, and more available on walmart.com and the Walmart app. By noon ET, the sales extended to all online shoppers, with in-store deals rolling out on October 9 at 6 a.m. local time.
This year, the sale extends over six days until October 13, offering steep discounts on renowned national brands like Apple, Samsung, and PlayStation. Additionally, prominent fashion labels such as Michael Kors, alongside a variety of home and tech products, are included in the promotion.
Among the notable discounts is an eye-catching 83% off on a designer tote bag from Michael Kors and substantive cuts on tech products including AirPods and a variety of other bestselling gadgets. Walmart’s vice president and chief merchandising officer, Latriece Watkins, stated, “We’re thrilled to give customers more of what they want this holiday. More time to prepare and more opportunities to save all season long.”
The promotion includes an array of home goods, with items like Swarovski crystal earrings, kitchen appliances, outdoor gear, and diverse tech devices being featured at reduced prices. The sale not only caters to tech enthusiasts but also to individuals seeking holiday gifts for family and friends.
For shoppers prioritizing household essentials, Walmart is offering impressive deals, such as 50% off on cleaning supplies and substantial reductions on cookware and kitchen gadgets. Popular options like trash bags, sponges, and storage solutions are also among the highlighted deals.
Walmart’s strategy with this early launch appears to respond to consumer demand for more convenient and cost-effective shopping as the festive season approaches. This extended promotion aims to entice customers into beginning their holiday shopping earlier, potentially easing the pressure of last-minute gift buying.
