Walton Goggins Sparks Feud Rumors with Co-Star Amid Interview Controversy

LOS ANGELES, CA — Walton Goggins faced controversy during a recent interview with The Times of London, where he shut down questions about his The White Lotus co-star, Evan Rachel Wood. This incident comes on the heels of speculation about a potential feud between the two actors following the series’ Season 3 finale.
Goggins starred in The White Lotus as Rick Hatchett, with Wood playing his girlfriend, Chelsea. After the season finale aired, fans noticed that Goggins and Wood had unfollowed each other on social media, igniting rumors of tension between them.
While promoting his film The Uninvited, directed by his wife, Nadia Conners, Goggins was repeatedly asked about his relationship with Wood. Each inquiry was met with resistance. When asked directly about their friendship, he replied, “I’m not gonna have that conversation.”
Goggins’ U.S. publicist intervened, stating, “We’re not going there, thank you,” while the British publicist added, “Next question.” During the interview, Goggins sarcastically responded to the suggestion of discussing The Uninvited: “Thinly veiled, my friend. The thing you’re least interested in.”
When the reporter continued to press for details about Wood, Goggins exclaimed, “What the f***, Ed! Come on, buddy. Wow.” The interview concluded with the publicist announcing, “We’re going to end it there.”
Fans have speculated on the nature of the rumored feud, especially after Wood criticized a viral Saturday Night Live sketch that parodied her character. Wood labeled the skit as “mean and unfunny,” stating, “I am not thin-skinned. I understand that’s what SNL is, but the rest of the skit was punching up, and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.”
Despite the rumors, both actors are anticipated Emmy contenders for their performances in The White Lotus Season 2. Goggins and Wood’s real-life dynamic continues to intrigue fans, as the situation unfolds further.
