Warzone Season 4 Gameplay Updates

LOS ANGELES, CA — Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone launched on May 29, 2025, bringing significant updates that include map changes, new weapons, and gameplay modes. The highlight of this update is the addition of the Overlook, a towering skyscraper located in Verdansk‘s Downtown area, which players can now explore.

This update introduces several powerful firearms, most notably the LC10 submachine gun and the FFAR1 assault rifle. The FFAR1 has a fast fire rate, making it ideal for close to mid-range combat, while recommended attachments can help manage its recoil. Players will find this rifle useful for aggressive fights in the urban environment of Verdansk.

In addition to the FFAR1, the Krig C remains a popular choice for long-range combat. Though it doesn’t possess the same fire rate as the FFAR1, its handling and consistent damage output make it a reliable option for players engaged in longer engagements.

The LC10 submachine gun excels in close-quarter battles, praised for its ease of use and rapid kill potential. If players have yet to unlock the LC10, the C9 serves as a solid alternative for sniper support and short-range combat, offering versatility in gameplay.

Players can also access the updated gameplay mode Battle Royale Casual, which blends traditional play with bots, focusing on enhancing player experience and feedback. This mode replaces core Battle Royale Solos as developers experiment with new features based on player preferences.

Notably, Season 4 introduces new Ranked Play options, featuring competitive elements and updated reward systems. Players aiming to elevate their gameplay can dive into these new modes, which will be closely monitored for balance and player engagement.

Several weapon adjustments were made for balance, focusing on certain elements like Light Machine Guns and Submachine Guns to ensure fair competition across various scenarios. This reflects the developers’ ongoing efforts to fine-tune gameplay mechanics while maintaining player interest.

With fresh content, weapon balancing, and enhanced gameplay experiences, Season 4 of Warzone promises to engage players in more dynamic and competitive environments as they adapt to new strategies and loadouts.
