Washington High School Presents Final Performances of Willy Wonka
Washington, IA – Audiences have two last chances to experience the magic of Willy Wonka, presented by the Washington High School drama department. The show takes to the stage tonight at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 16th, at 2:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
Director Don Hughes shared his enthusiasm for the production, stating, “It just kind of struck me. I think we’ve got the right kids for the right roles. The cast is super cool, they’re going to be good.” He explained that the show was a popular choice among students during last year’s production of Little Women, where Willy Wonka generated a lot of interest.
Quintyn Garibay takes on the role of Willy Wonka while Anthony Raymundo plays Charlie Bucket, the central character who finds a golden ticket to tour the enigmatic chocolate factory. Hughes expressed confidence in the cast’s abilities, adding, “I think this is going to be a great show to see, and a great cast to watch. I think it’s going to be a pretty darn fun show.”
Tickets for the performance are priced at $10 for adults, while students can attend free of charge. This fun-filled show promises to delight audiences with its whimsical story and lively performances.
