MIAMI, Fla. — Wendy Williams, the former talk show host, continues to navigate her health challenges with resilience and the support of her family, as she battles frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. Diagnosed in 2023, Williams has faced significant health issues, including Graves' Disease and lymphedema, which have impacted her public appearances and daily life.

In February 2024, Williams’ representatives confirmed her diagnosis, stating, “Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires.” The decision to go public with her condition was aimed at raising awareness and advocating for others facing similar health challenges.

Despite her health struggles, Williams made a notable public appearance at her son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s college graduation in Miami in December 2024. Photographed in a sparkly dress and using a mobility scooter, Williams showed her enduring spirit. A source close to Williams shared, “She’s still Wendy. Her conversations are just as rhythmic and her mindset is open.”

Williams’ health issues have led to her being declared “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and legally incapacitated” by her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina E. Morrissey, in a November 2024 filing. However, sightings of Williams engaging with the public and enjoying family moments have painted a picture of a woman still very much engaged with life.

Williams’ journey has been marked by both public support and personal challenges, including her divorce from Kevin Hunter in 2020. Despite these hurdles, Williams remains a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, with fans eagerly awaiting any updates on her health and well-being.

As Williams looks forward to moving to Florida permanently, her story continues to inspire and resonate with many who admire her strength and determination in the face of adversity.
