When Calls the Heart Actor Mamie Laverock Hospitalized After Balcony Fall
Popular teen actor Mamie Laverock, best known for her recurring role as Rosaleen Sullivan in the Hallmark Channel series ‘When Calls the Heart,’ is currently on life support after falling from a five-story balcony walkway.
The unsettling incident occurred following a medical emergency that landed Mamie in intensive treatment for two weeks at a hospital. Mamie’s parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, set up a GoFundMe page to provide updates on Mamie’s condition and aid in her recovery.
According to the fundraiser, Mamie’s mother rushed to Winnipeg, Canada, on May 11 to assist Mamie during a medical crisis, managing to save her life in time. Mamie was later transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, where her condition appeared to be improving, though the extent of her recovery remained uncertain.
Tragedy struck on May 26 when Mamie fell from a balcony walkway while being moved from a secure hospital unit. She suffered life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple surgeries, and is currently reliant on life support for survival.
The fundraiser, aimed at supporting Mamie’s escalating medical expenses, has gathered over $14,500 with contributions pouring in from well-wishers and supporters.
Colleagues from ‘When Calls the Heart,’ including co-stars Erin Krakow, Johanna Newmarch, and Loretta Walsh, have taken to social media to express their support for Mamie and her family during this challenging time.
Erin Krakow, who plays a lead role on the show, shared in an Instagram post that she made a donation to the cause and encouraged others with the means to support as well. Johanna Newmarch and Loretta Walsh also urged fans to donate and spread the word to aid Mamie and her family in their time of need.
