Will Cain Launches New Fox News Show, Promises Honest Opinions and Deep Analysis
NEW YORK — Fox News Channel is launching a new weekday afternoon show, “The Will Cain Show,” hosted by Will Cain, a former co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend.” The show premieres Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 4 p.m. ET, and Cain promises to deliver a mix of opinion and newsgathering, covering politics, business, culture, and sports.
“I’m an incredibly curious person, and one of the exciting challenges of this new job is the balancing act of transition from news into opinion,” Cain told Fox News. “I will be offering the audience my honest opinion, my unvarnished opinion on the news. But I will also be presenting reports and giving the audience the information they need at that time of the day to help make up their own mind.”
Cain, who joined Fox News in 2020, has interviewed a wide range of guests on his weekend show, including former President Donald Trump, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Barstool founder Dave Portnoy. He said his new show will be both “casual” and “immediate,” with a focus on deep-dive analysis and engaging content.
“It will be an evolution over time, like every single television show has ever been,” Cain said. “And I ask and look forward to the audience going with me along that ride. You know, where we start may not be where we end up, but I think we all understand the spirit of the show that we want to launch.”
Cain has received encouragement from various Fox News stars, with the most common advice being to “simply be yourself.” He emphasized that he is not looking to emulate any specific program but will lean into his unique strengths.
In addition to his new television show, Cain will continue to host “The Will Cain Show” podcast, which will simulcast on Fox News Digital. The podcast has featured interviews with prominent figures from politics, entertainment, and sports, and Cain plans to bring a similar range of guests to his television program.
Former President Trump took to social media to express his support for Cain, stating that he “will do a great job on his news show” because he’s “got what it takes for success.” Cain called the endorsement “incredibly flattering,” especially coming just 48 hours before Inauguration Day.
“One of the privileges of hosting ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ over the last five years has been knowing the President of the United States, or the Former President of the United States, watches what you have to say on Saturdays and Sundays,” Cain said. “My suspicion is the president was watching on Saturday and saw me say goodbye to Rachel Campos-Duffy and my family at ‘Fox and Friends Weekend.’”
Cain’s new show will air in the time slot previously held by Neil Cavuto, who left the network last month. Fox contributor Charlie Hurt will replace Cain on the weekend edition of “Fox & Friends,” starting this Saturday.
