Milwaukee, WI — The seventh-ranked Wisconsin Badgers will travel to Milwaukee on Wednesday for a highly anticipated women’s college volleyball match against in-state rival Marquette. The match is set to start at 9:00 p.m. ET at the Fiserv Forum.

Wisconsin boasts a strong record of 6-1 this season, with its only loss coming from a match against the No. 2 ranked Texas. The Badgers have fought hard this season, securing victories over two other ranked opponents, including Kansas and most recently Georgia Tech.

The last match against the Golden Eagles, held last year, showcased a competitive atmosphere, with the Badgers claiming victory in four sets. Marquette enters the match looking to upset Wisconsin, as they have consistently been a strong program in the Big East, earning NCAA Tournament spots in recent years.

Despite the Badgers’ historical dominance in their rivalry, with a series record of 23-1, this year’s match-up is expected to be intense, as both teams face off in front of passionate home crowds. Wisconsin will rely on its powerful offense and seasoned players, including All-America candidates, to outmaneuver Marquette’s challenging defense.

The Golden Eagles are eager to prove themselves against a perennial powerhouse and will draw on their balanced attack and strong defensive strategies to face the Badgers. Given the stakes, the match promises to create a lively atmosphere with regional bragging rights on the line.
