WWE Raw Debuts on Netflix with Star-Studded 2025 Premiere
WWE Raw is set to make history on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, as it debuts on Netflix, marking the first time the iconic wrestling show will air live on a streaming platform. The premiere episode, airing at 8 p.m. ET from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, will feature a star-studded lineup, including John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Logan Paul, among others.
The shift to Netflix comes as part of a major partnership between WWE and the streaming giant, making Netflix the exclusive U.S. home for Raw. The show will also return to its traditional three-hour format after experimenting with a two-hour runtime on the USA Network. Adding to the excitement, rapper Travis Scott will perform the new theme song live during the premiere.
John Cena, who recently announced his retirement from wrestling at the end of 2025, will make a special appearance, alongside Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and other top stars like CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Bianca Belair. The event will also feature influencer and wrestler Logan Paul, known for his Prime beverage brand.
Netflix’s acquisition of WWE Raw is part of a broader strategy to expand its live sports and entertainment offerings. While U.S. viewers will have exclusive access to Raw, international audiences will gain access to other WWE programming, including SmackDown and NXT, as well as premium live events.
Netflix offers three subscription plans: Standard with ads ($6.99/month), Standard ($15.49/month), and Premium ($22.99/month). The platform no longer provides a free trial, making the WWE Raw premiere a must-watch event for subscribers.
The move to Netflix represents a significant shift in how WWE content is consumed, as the company continues to adapt to the evolving media landscape. With a mix of wrestling legends and rising stars, the 2025 premiere of WWE Raw promises to be a landmark moment for both WWE and Netflix.
